Actually didn't. Harry said the air pump valve was kinda funky, so I didn't want to deal with that. Probably should have though.
Track got kinda slick towards the end of the day. Slammed the pedal and fishtailed off the line. Apparently there were a lot of of 'Ooooooo's' and 'Holy S**T's" from the spectators when I almost ate the wall. Needless to say, that run didn't go so well.
Strangely enough, after most people went home, I stuck around to do a few more passes and I was able to get some grip. That's when I got my best time of the day. But then I was running low on gas and decided to call it a day.
Bob and Harry had the best M times today. I'll let them chime in here with their numbers.
Fastest car of the day: C5 Vette with nitrous running a 10.5x at 128.
We had high hopes of bettering that mark but then the clutch began failing and that put an end to any chance of doing that. The clutch got progressively worse and I almost didn't make it back home to NYC it was slipping so very badly by then. Needless to say a new clutch is going in tomorrow.
Clutch problems notwithstanding, we all had a great time and once again a huge "Thank You" to Lorenzo for organizing this event. And congratulations are in definitely order to Boner for turning in some amazing Ets and MPH on his first ever day at the drags. If I'm not mistaken he had the best E60 MPH of the day. I guess those dyno runs weren't flukes after all.

Glad everyone made it home safely. It was great to see so many guys have fun.
I only made about four full passes because I thought my wheels were going to tear off. Tire Rack forgot to send me centering rings for my new wheels, and the car got just plain scary above 85 mph. Felt like I was running with a flat tire. Drove around for a while looking for a tire shop with new lugs and rings, but no luck.
But it was nice to be a spectator for a change. Someone who worked for the track video taped some of the runs. He said that he usually doesn't get to see cars like ours.
Many great showings. For those that have never heard Boner's car in anger, you should try to schedule an appointment. Music. Loud Music.
