Atco Resurfacing

It sure is! Last time we ran there they only 'prepped' one lane and they wouldn't let us folks with street tires use it, putting us at a real disadvantage to those running drag radials. Should be worth 0.1 to 0.2 improvement

Ray - both lanes were prepped. The right lane supposedly was prepped up'to the 660' mark to deal with the horsepower running on drag radials. The reason they try to keep the cars separate is because the street rubber tends to ruin the launch surface. The expression guys with DR's use is "tearing it up" The prep at the launch area was the same, but it stays better when only DR's run on it.

I'll take your word for it, but the lane we had to run in certainly didn't appear to have been treated; IMHO it looked like a POS. I understand the track's reasoning, but for those of us who were looking for every thousandth of a second you'll understand why we felt shortchanged. Hopefully this will all be moot with the new surface (and the fact that we too will be on drag radials next time out)

Not sure. I have been away all week and will not be back in the office until Tuesday. So I do not know which checks have come in. I will work on the list next week.

Let me know as soon as you have a count. If there are still any openings, a motorcycle racing buddy of mine has a 2007 'vette (not Z06) and might like to attend.

List so far -

Multiowner - Modded M5
Kelster - Dinan S3 E39 M5
Oldgixxer - Stock E63 on DR's
Machc5 - Maybe his CLK63 BS
Bonehead - Modded M5
AJCut7 - Modded M6 Vert
LI-M5 - Modded M5
05 Venom - Stock E63
Friend of 05Venom - Stock 335i
Me - Stock E55 on DR's

I am waiting to hear back from 2 C5 vettes who were at the last rental, and have new interest from a mustang owner, another E55 owner and Ray's friend with the C6 vette. I will confirm with Kevin at Atco that we can bring 13 or 14 cars (as opposed to being charged for 15), and then finalize the list.

I figure it will be fine. So Ray, ask your friend if he wants in.
