ATCO Meet rescheduled to 12/14

Guys - I just spoke with Kevin at Atco, and we determined that it was too risky to try to run tomorrow based on the mixed bag of forecasts.

Although it kills me (and many of you to have your plans change like this), Kevin has agreed to give us FRIDAY, 12/14 for a rental. This is unusual because the track is typically not available for rental on Fridays.

For those who were scheduled to run tomorrow, your spots are still reserved for next Friday unless you tell me that you cannot make it. If you cannot make it, I will return or shred your deposit checks (less a $15 servicing fee kidding) and try to find replacements.

I am so sorry that Mother Nature screwed us. I was really looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow.

Thanks for putting forth the effort to organize this, L. We all appreciate it. We spoke already, but I can't make it next week. I already took tomorrow off and and it's too late to rebook my day.

Just a thought. If the weather does in fact hold out tomorrow despite the stupid forecasters, anyone up for E-town instead? We don't own the track for the day, but I doubt many will show up in the middle of the week during the freezing cold. What say ye?

Not a bad idea at all. But E-town closed for the season already on November 18th.

Looks like just a chance of a little precipitation (snow) around noon on Wednesday Temps will be in the lo 30's. Cloudy with winds 5-6 mph

Is the track officially closed tomorrow or is the just the group rental cancelled? I would assume the former or else we should make a go of it tomorrow if the weather holds up tonight.

It is closed. Other than Saturday and Sunday through 12/16, it is only open during the week for private rentals.

You can probably cut the chain around the fence and use the strip, but you'll have to do it without any of the electronic timing equipment.

Believe me, guys, I was looking forward to this for a long time. Heck, I wonder if the stress of putting this together and worrying about the weather brought about my case of Bells Palsy.

I hope we have a good M5board showing next week.

AND - I WILL ORGANIZE ANOTHER RENTAL FOR NEXT MARCH OR APRIL!
