I am going to Atco on Monday (11/12) to run with some Corvette guys who invited me. They will have one lane fully sprayed (which costs more) and one lane sprayed to the 330' mark (which is standard). That rental costs $175 pp. I am going to run on the standard lane and see if I think we need to fully spray a lane.
Sometime next week, I will PM all who said yes and ask them to send me a check for $150 or a few bucks more if we are going to spray one full lane.
I ran today and think we can do with the regular prep. We'll have to make a few coasting passes down the track to warm things up, but once we do, it should hook fine.
I'll be updating my sig once I can get my scanner to work and my slips up on dragtimes.

OK - PM's are going to go out in the next day or so with my payment information.
I'd ask that all participants send me a PM with their real name and cell phone number, together with an e-mail address that works best for them. I want to be able to check off names, and that's hard to do if I can't match the screen name to the name on the check.
I want cell phone numbers and e-mails just in case I need to get in touch with any of you.
Some rules to remember:
At the track, you won't find food or drink, so bring something to eat and drink. People usually bring extra "stuff", so if you forget, you won't die.
If you have a helmet, don't forget to bring it. There are no helmet rentals. There are usually enough to go around when I go to a rental. But this is a different sort of rental, and I bet many of the attendees don't own helmets. The Englishtown speedshop sells them for about $120. A bargain.
Make sure you show up with at least a 1/2 tank of gas. The gas station at the track doesn't open until 11, and they had no unleaded gas on Monday. Pick up some gas on the highway (rt. 206). The nearest gas station is about 3 miles away from the track (a Getty) and only sells 92 octane.
Bring a quart of Mobil 1 and a funnel. You will burn some oil there when you run 25 runs.
I bought some special "shoe polish" specifically designed for racers to write an ID number on your windows. If anyone else has some, bring it. Shoe polish is a ***** to wipe off. This stuff wipes off dry.
Take it easy for the first few runs. The track will be cold, and traction will not be optimal. We should all make some easy passes to put some heat into the track.
Be smart. Racing is fun, but it can also be dangerous. I'm happy to reserve the track for all of us who want to go but (here's the lawyer in me), I am not responsible for you, your car or your azz - you're racing at your own risk.
We'll have a blast.

For the extra couple of bucks it will cost I vote that we have them spray the track. JMO
They spray both lanes through 330'. For an extra $25 pp, we can get one lane fully sprayed.
I was just at a rental on Monday and ran fine in the lane that was only sprayed through the 330'. My friend who is coming with his 10 second vette is OK with the track not being fully sprayed. Once the cars started to lay some rubber down Monday, it was great.
If we get there and people really think it is not grippy enough past the 330' mark, we can have it sprayed then and there. It won't be a problem. Let's hang on to our cash for now.

Check's in the mail. Just bought a helmet online. Ready to smoke me some tires
For those 1/4 noobs (i.e. me), how bout some M5/6'ers post up their tricks/methods for running the track. Tire pressures, EDC settings, drop clutch or throttle feathering, burnouts/no burnouts, etc. Also, I'm sure I'll figure this out on the day of, but should you wait for the green on the tree or try to predict it and go on the last yellow?
What's the final list of participants, Enz? From here and MBWorld?
Won't know for a week or so. I've sent some PM's out. Some people have not yet responded. Some have asked for a few more days to sort their schedules out. We have plenty of people trying to get in.
