quick summary,

A few people seem to have overslept this morning. Bill, Rich I'm talking to you.

Otherwise was an excellent meet with the exception of one lost car (we really need to have cell phone lists in the future)
And one blown clutch, on what might be the loudest M6 out there.

Had a great time as usual with you guys though, I will work on the vid and pics today and try to post.

Yes - totally agree.
Today was one of the best meets I've been to so far.
10 of us meeting in White Plains Bloomingdales and taking a spirited 30 mile ride to Bear Mountain. Had a nice, albeit not cheap, brunch at the Overlook House (Br. Mtn.), and then a cool drive around the mountain - great twisties and hills.
And to top it off - when we all got pulled over - NONE OF US got ticketed!!!
One great day!

We're not gonna let you off that easy...what happened after we left you at the gas station?
Were you able to reset the SMG?
Did you have to tow it home or drive it home?
We got stopped on a Bear Mountain side road going up a hill by a park/state cop.
We think either a park maintenance guy called or a pedestrian/biker/hiker called.

haha...after you guys left i tried to see about resetting the clutch...unfortunately, i couldnt even get her into 1st gear...i tried once and i couldnt get into the automatic mode, so i shut it down and started her again...and this time i couldnt even manually get her into 1st...she tried 4 times and then went crazy on me...i wouldnt be surprised if i dont even have a clutch anymore the way she reacted lol...it's on a flatbed right now, hopefully gonna send her down to my guy in pa tomorrow so he can replace the clutch and put my pulley in...you guys missed the group of 150+motorcycles at the gas station lol...they were doing passes on that huge traffic ring in between 202 and 9...helped pass the time...whatd the cop say?

Yikes. Doesn't sound like a clutch problem, though. SMG/hydaulic pump maybe? Hopefully the mods won't be a problem...Good luck.

How long did it take for the flatbed to come and was it BMW Assist?
Also, is your dealer in PA? It almost sounds like you are not bringing it back to the dealer to fix this under warranty.
The cop was busting Greg's balls about no front plate and wanted to know if anyone had a video camera for racing, etc.
But again, no one got "busted!"

bonehead-thanks, ill need it...im saying clutch because it seemed like it @ the time, and i think that might be best case scenario lol...

boomer-it took them a little under an hour to get there, wasnt too bad. my dealer is actually in nj, but im thinking about taking it to the guy who has done all the mods on my car...im worried that with the mods, the dealer may try to overcharge me because of them...so am gonna think it over tonight and talk to a few people and see what they say...glad to hear no one got any tickets though...am guessing aj hid the camera? lol

luckily I had run out of tape like 5 minutes before the cop came and the camera was on the floor of the passenger side. He would have given me such a hard time if it was still mounted, I got really lucky.
