Gustav tours America - Las Vegas leg (Aug. 12-14)

Hello all,

I've got a few things already set for Gustav's Las Vegas visit. I may not be a party animal like some of you, so hopefully the Las Vegas contingent and those who just need an excuse to visit Las Vegas can help out.

Sunday, August 12: Departing Las Vegas at 8am to meet TiSiBeast and his group at the Grand Canyon, South Rim village around 12 noon. We'll be sharing a picnic lunch, looking at the big hole in the ground, and then back to Las Vegas for a BBQ at MrsBowen's house. Please let me know here or by PM if you want to join the BBQ at MrsBowen's. We need to get a headcount, so that if it gets overwhelming for when we're initially planning, we can go to plan B.

Monday, August 13: We have the Shelby museum/factory set for a 10:30am tour, and if we're up for it we'll drive from there through Valley of Fire, along Lake Mead and get lunch in Lake Las Vegas. Monday night I have 10pm tickets for Cirque de Soleil's Beatles Love show. Tickets are still widely available for sale through ticketmaster. Dinner will be somewhere before that. Monday night is pretty dead in Las Vegas, but if we have enough people around that want to party later into the evening, I'm sure Gustav wouldn't mind.

Tuesday, August 14: We'll be meeting up with Dan (DRM), Gustav's ride to San Diego about 12 noon, at the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian for lunch. If you have time for an enjoyable lunch (think Cheesecake Factory but better IMO...they're owned by the same company) we would love to have you there.

-James

BUMP Come on guys...we need some participation or Vegas is going to be the worst stop on his tour. Cindy - at least our local club posted the itinerary in the most recent newsletter, so hopefully the calls/e-mails will start coming in for more participants.

And No night is dead in Las Vegas!
