Are rear seats a possibility in the gt2?

If one was to have a comfort spec gt2 could you install rear seats?I personally dont think it would pose muh of a problem...anyone have any ideas?

all the best

Eh ... GT2 w/ a rear seat. I think that there was a joke going around w/ someone that's putting a rear seat in the GT2, Lonman? Not sure.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. If I have the money to acquire a GT2, I might as well dish out another 70-80K for a nicely equipped M5. This is what a few of the members on the board do.

my 2 cents.

ya there was a guy on the board actually thinking of doing that, but i got the impression that he wasnt really serious in many respects..anyhow lonman as far as i know was not doing it as he has a clubsport gt2(racing harnesses, fixed seats etc) however in the comfort there are no harnesses and as far as i can see no reason why one could not retro fit turbo seats and seat belts into the rear..anyone more ideas?

all the best

errr.......

Mine is a comfort spec, and there is no way enough room for seats in the back. The main problem is that the front buckets are fixed one peice racing seats. Even if you pull them all the way forward, there will not be enough room between the seat and the body for someone to climb in. Volvo's are nice.......!

I was just thinking though that basically the gt2 is the same size/dimensions as the turbo, therefore in theory at least the rear seats should fit...the fixed back seats you mention lonman could pose a problem..thank you very much for the info

all the best

Even if you do find someone to do it for you custom made, the warranty is gone. plus too much money for those seats. porsche will never do it even if you pay them $100K for each seat. I never saw the interior of a GT2 up close but i have for the GT3 and there is an empty slot which looks like a place you can add seats but i dunno...... no one was crazy enough to go for it yet
