Gt3 07-08

Recently began to search for a 2007/2008 GT3
not many out there -- I have never drove one, but know I'd love the car
2008-09 BMW M3 or 07-08 GT3

any thoughts?

I would like to use as a 2nd car and take it to the track as often as time would allow (1x month most likely)

thoughts on pulling the trigger on GT3 vs. M3 --
what about cars depreciation?
or GT3 vs. GT3 RS...?

thanks guys

For me it's a no brainer ... the GT3/RS all day long over the E9XM3.
As a track car there's no comparison.
There are 997.1 GT3's out there for sale.

Having owned a e92 M3 for 3 years the ONLY reason I would take it over a gt3 was if I thought I would be using it as a DD.
the gt3 is so much more fun at the track for sure but I don't believe you will be buying a 997.1 GT3 for the same money as a 08/09 E 92
Realistically a 996 GT3 from a $$$ point of view closer to even money maybe
My e92 was sorted nicely for track days and was an absolute blast but I'd still go for a gt3

well first off you just blew your budget...LOL
a E92 M3 even if you got a MY10 or MY11 w/the Comp package is nowhere near as expensive as a GT3-RS...
Ranger would be more qualified to comment on the GT3 vs. GT3-RS....my guess is the RS is everything the GT3 is x2...
