Widebody 997's: GT2, Turbo, C4S, GT3RS. All other variants are narrow-body cars.

997.1 (MKI): 2007-2009
997.2 (MKII): 2010+

To answer your original question, yes, LED's can be fitted to a 997.1 Turbo. I had this conversion done on my car. Pics are in this forum. Can either go the cheaper route (both in price, and IMO, in looks as well) and just buy aftermarket Chinese lenses (Dectane), or do the OEM swap which, in short, requires a new bumper, light control modules, reprogram via PIWIS, and of course, the OEM lights.

All these questions could be more easily answered by doing a quick search on a more Porsche-centric forum such as 6 speed or Rennlist.

Just swapping out the tail lights is def cheaper and it looks ok but obviously isn't OEM. I swapped out to the Dectane LED's, but will go the OE bumper/LED route soon. Bonehead has done a Euro .2 rear bumper swap with LED's and it looks AWESOME. No bumperettes!

Nice to see u over here Ed!
