Porsche 911 Turbo and Porsche Panamera Forum | panameraboard.comFor Porsche owners and the upcomng BMW M5 competitor: the four-door Porsche Panamera. panameraboard.com
The latest Motor Trend also stated 3.8 second 0-60 for the upgraded turbo-charged Panamera. Looks like high performance sedans have a new "king of the hill," a title short-lived for the CTS-V. This is good news for those who are looking to buy an F10 M5 as it will need to be quicker to reclaim the throne. With the latest E60 M5-beating competitors, I am feeling better and better about my decision to get a Dinan stroker motor.

Surely, you can't consider the CTS-V or the XFR Jag serious competition for an M5 V10 ?
Forget about the XFR. I was referring to the love affair the mags have had with the CTS-V, beating (barely) the E60 M5 in their tests. As an American I must admit I am glad GM has significantly improved performance, which a step in the right direction. However I still prefer my M5, and I still prefer natural aspiration to turbos and superchargers--thus the Dinan stroker I have on order.

I'll take stone age and ultra fast over ultra modern any day. It's the engine and suspension, not the computer and gadgets, that make a car most enjoyable to me. Hypocrisy: to think that not long ago the E60 was criticized by the mags for being "overtechnical."
