That centre console looks terrible imho. Way too many buttons! And it appears that Porsche are still ruining their wonderful PDK gearbox with those stupid 'toggle' switches instead of real paddles behind the steering wheel like every other high performance car uses.

Hope the interior looks better in future photos.

Gustav,

Have you or a friend driven a Porsche with the PDK gearbox? I'd like your take of the interface re: manual gear changes with the bloody 'toggles'.

I can't believe that Porsche would use such a stupid system. Every magazine review has criticised the 'toggles', even though every review has gushed over the PDK gearbox itself. One mag, I think CAR, went as far as saying the toggles were reason enough to purchase the 6 speed manual.

Hope Porsche changes to real paddles behind the steering wheel for the GT-3 and TT PDK versions when released.

Yeah the int of this car looks like really bad. I was in a new Toyota Tundra the other day and it looked similar to this thing. Very blocky with lots of buttons.

I heard that Porsche 6 speed manuals are just horrid. Is that true?

that is the most untrue statement I've ever heard, the feel is better than my M5, heres the 6 speeds I've driven 996 GT2, 997 turbo 997 carrera s, they are all wonderful, the new PDK is ok, but other than the performance advantage i'd prefer the manual, the "worst" of the lot is the Cayenne GTS 6 speed which I would say is equivalent to the E39 M5 for feel, this is a big dillemma for me buy the Panamera 6 speed or PDK and then the wife can drive too

That centre console is extremely cluttered.

I thought they would of gone for a similar system to iDrive to get rid of all the switches.
