Still don't see the point

Sports car or Luxo Barge, why combine the two? All that money on developement etc. and i'm sure sales will be very limited. Buy a RRS for the family outings and a 997S for the weekend adrenalin rush and you'll still probably have change from what the Panamera will cost.

Although the pics are all P-shopped, I still think its a step forward from that awful Abrahms Tank they used to show on spypics.

On the other hand I don't think the headroom at the rear is sufficient.

For the same reason, I haven't heard of anyone considering trading their A8, E-class, S-class, 5 or 7 series to an MB CLS although that was considered quite beautiful in my country upon introduction. All mentioned the lack of rear headroom.

I'm sure that upon its debut, the majority of the world's automotive reviewers will rant and rave, making it the "it" car of the half-decade -- i.e.: in Cali, you'll see yourself coming and going.

Thereafter, there'll be an improved response from the established sedan mfgrs (you know who).

Did you see that in the article? Porsche is going to put a V-10 motor in a "halo" edition of the model! Who in their right mind would even consider putting a V-10 in a four door car!? Oh, never mind...

The most interesting battle for me will be the V10 928 and the F12 M6.....

4 doors are nice but not for me..... I am sure the crazy people in BMW M are stewing on how much power they can afford to stuff into the new M6.... Whatever it is, it won't be enough for me
