CNS 10.5" Dual Mass Lighweight Flywheel

CNS dual-mass 10.5 in flywheel for sale...weights just under 32lbs over the 42lb+ OEM flywheel. Great modification..revs quicker and smoother and puts more power at the wheels. I bought this last September on the board and ended up not using it (was going to SC, but holding off for a while). Per the seller I bought it from: "I took it to a shop that specializes in dual mass resurfacing and they easily resurfaced it with no issues. Weighs exactly the same as it did before the surfacing and is ready to be mated with a new clutch." These are $1599 new on CNS' website. You'll need a 10.5" pressure plate/clutch to match up to it (mid '90s GM). Spec appears to make the one that is on CNS's website.....(unless there is another manf of blue PP's out there), but it isn't like 10.5" is an uncommon size. Shipping from 48009. $580 is what I paid and am looking to recoup my investment. Shipping is about $35 via ground. Clemster and several other board members are running these very successfully on header/tuned or SC'd units. i can answer some questions on it as I did a lot of research on these before buying, but the board has a ton of threads on these (both good and bad, same as all clutches).

Hello,
I have 2 questions regarding this flywheel:
1) Is the flywheel new or used? I understand that it was resurfaced, but just want to know the condition of the dual mass mechanism.
2) What clutch will work with this (if there is a thread that discusses this then please include a link if that's easier)

Thanks.

Resurfaced. Though having seen others new I can't tell the difference. And weight is exactly the same as new.

A pressure plate for a 10.5" DM flywheel should do the trick. Should being fairly loosely defined. SB made a S2/S3 that worked really well, but now they don't, but they can custom piece one together. Spec makes one.

Internet boards say the pressure plate for a mid '90s GM (Fiero/Camaro) are what work best on this. However when I asked SB about that they said that GM flywheel was 11"++. They frankly told me to take it to Autozone & they could figure it out or send it to them and they'll put a PP/disc together.

Another board member had posted pics about his used setup for sale. Certainly looked like (and SB thought so too) a Spec setup. I would have installed in mine but ran out of time as OEM failed. Or buy the CNS one for $1599......which is a Spec with the letters covered...

Thanks. Two more questions. As I look closer at the flywheel picture, I don't see the reluctor ring for the crank position sensor pickup. That is required for the engine to work, so perhaps you can take a close up picture of that. Second, also hard to tell if the mounting bolts are in there. If this is the factory flywheel just machined, it is not possible to take those bolts out so they should be permanently captured in the flywheel hub. When I see the flywheel on the scale, it looks like there is no bolts, but I can be wrong.

Will this work on SMG? also do you have to do anything special in order for the clutch adaptations to work since it's a lighter flywheel?

Zero idea if it will work on SMG.

Re clutch adapters---you need a pressure plate/disc that will fit a 10.5" flywheel.
