Scammer Alert!

Well it looks like I was also a victim and scammed out of $100 plus bank transfer fees. I ordered an armrest over a month ago. Unanswered emails and requests for a tracking number never returned or answered. I was hoping this guy was going to be legit. He answered all my questions and emails very promptly in the beginning. But as soon as he has your money, you soon realize that you will never see the product or your money again. I guess this is how CON-ARTISTS operate. You live and learn!

Sorry to hear and I'm afraid you won't be the last one to post here.

After several weeks of daily badgering, I did finally receive a tracking number on Thursday. Unfortunately, USPS still isn't recognizing it as a valid number so I can't say for sure that anything is on it's way to me. I'll give it a few more days and post the results.

Payments have been made via wire transfers but that does not change a thing, I will deliver or refund, I always deliver, no order will be left unfulfilled.

I did encounter a small backlog but pretty much all orders have been shipped out. If I was to scam people why would I ship out 5 full trim kits at $250+ each and not ship an armrest for which I received like $85? Pointless.

Some delays were caused by some issues on my part here (also by a huge panic attack caused by this thread where several buyers backed out of their deals or left me hanging) but many have also been caused by how usps works, please have a look at this single trim kit delivery tracking:

It took the package 5 days to get from Poland to US and then it got stuck in NY on Apr 2nd with no update for twice the time it took it to get to States in first place.

I have more examples like this. Sometimes tracking gets updated so slow or shows no record for a day or two or five and it gets people annoyed, especially coupled with this thread.

I know it does not look good but please rest assured, I will deliver every single item, many have already been succesfully delivered.

I was thinking that maybe I should consider changing mail carrier but usps is the cheapest and I already noticed that for some buyers here $20 is a deal breaker on a trim kit that I list at $250 while other sellers do not sell it below $300 plus shipping. There really is not much room left to go down on these prices of mine, I really price it all fair I believe.

@Al_Maryland - I have sent you an email. I did leave ONE unanswered email of yours, sent to me March 27th, just found it in my spam box after you posted here. It is not exactly "Unanswered emails and requests for a tracking number never returned or answered." which may sound as if you were emailing me 20 times and I did not answer. Please check your email. Thanks!

Well I can just add that I did NOT receive my goods, and no return of money either.......

first came with lame excuses for a couple of weeks - when finally decided I wanted my money back instead - he stopped responding to my emails.

Maciej,

You're missing the point - US customs isn't the problem. I think I speak for everyone involved when I say that customs is what it is and there's nothing any of us can do to influence how long an item takes to get through customs. Customs is a moot point when you don't even ship the item.

The problem is the lack of communication on your part. Unanswered emails are unacceptable. Period. If you make a commitment to ship and set an expectation that you will deliver tracking info by a certain date, then it's YOUR responsibility to update the buyer in the event you don't meet that expectation. Don't make us hunt you down to get an update. This is customer service 101.

How exactly does cancelled orders make it more difficult to ship your remaining orders? Seems like it would have alleviated your shipping backlog, not made it worse.

I do realize that USPS tracking is horrible. However, I would expect that my tracking number show as valid within a week of the ship date, which is Thursday, April 9th per your email.

+1. Good sales starts with prompt and clear communication before AND after a purchase no matter what.

As much as I love USPS prices too, it is down right horrible for international goods. Even worse is the ISC New York customs, I've had boxes held for up to a MONTH for no good reason at that specific location. Funny how importing/domestic is cheap, but exports cost an arm/leg

1. I didn't imply it was 20 emails, but to my recollection it was 2. You didn't have a problem getting my email when we were taking care of payment details? I send you one email for a tracking number, and all of a sudden my email is in your SPAM folder? That is besides the point anyway. Read # 2

2. Keep your lines of communication open at all times. Reply to emails. Don't leave your customers hanging or wondering if you received the email. Give as much info as possible on the transaction. ie. Accurate Tracking numbers and shipping delays...

3. You can't sit on peoples money. People expect due diligence on your part to receive products paid for in a timely manner!

4. There has to be a sense of urgency on your part getting these items shipped and tracking numbers sent in a timely manner. Especially for an individual like yourself that insists on bank transfers as payment. We are sending payment to an unknown or undocumented seller living in Poland. But I'm a trusting individual by nature and try to give people a chance to prove themselves before I judge.

5. I don't care what people say about Paypal, I don't have a problem purchasing items using this service. At least there are procedures to get your money back and somewhat weed out the con-artists and fraudsters. I suggest you apply for an account with Paypal! Bank transfers are just too risky for most people. This is the first time I purchased an item using bank transfers. Lesson learned....I won't do it again!

6. It is my opinion, that if you can't follow the simple steps above, you need to find another line of work. Mail order businesses needs to be prompt, courteous, and requires "attention to detail". I have been buying and selling from ebay and other auction sites for years. I have not had one negetive feedback! This is all due to me following the simple steps above.

If I receive my armrest, that would be great. But I think you have lost me (and countless others) as a future customer based on your business practices. You have cost me time and money dealing with this situation. I have even purchased another armrest from ebay (using Paypal as payment). I will just chock this up to an expensive ($140 with all bank transfer service fees) lesson learned and never deal with a situation like this again.
