It appears this thread should be retitled with a bold and italicized "NOT" to avoid any negative impact on hashtagtrends sales. Mods?

Gents,

Couple points I'd like to make...

In regards to the o.p., stark6935 was simply looking out for the best interests of the m5board community. We cannot ridicule anyone for alerting the board of a potential threat. There were very valid concerns he brought up regarding previous transaction issues with a business associate of Mr. #trends, but it should have been brought up in a different fashion. Fortunately, Maciej took the time to address these concerns and appropriately explain these discrepancies. Keep in mind, there are scammers on the buying end out there, and paypal's buyer protection program enables these types to rip off a seller very easily. Those who immediately assumed #trends was a scammer were wrong to crucify him so quickly. I commend Maciej's professionalism throughout this debacle, as he has set quite an example of how to conduct oneself when faced with such allegations. Simply posting the questions raised about #trends legitamacy would have been a much better way to address this, rather than jumping to "im 100% sure" conclusions. I'm happy to see a satisfied customer report, and I expect to see many more, myself included. As for the unnamed price-rigging seller, this is intolerable. Forums such as this are a wonderful means for regular jerks like myself to afford owning, modding, and maintaining expensive vehicles. This glutenous price jacking is a cancer to any enthusiast group and those individuals are not welcome in the marketplace. I can respect #trends not disclosing this individual, however, with so few sellers offering these euro goods, its not hard to speculate who the "azzhat" might be...

Glad to see some positive results from this discussion.

I was very intrigued by hashtagtrends' FS items, and contacted him about a trim set.
He was very quick to respond, and very professional in his responses.

However, being across the pond, and not set up to take Paypal, and not having any reviews, I did not feel comfortable at the time.

I'm glad this thread is here, because now there is open discussion and members who have good results can also share.
This will help build his forum credibility.

Just a point of advise for the seller though: I understand that many European members are not set up for Paypal. But having that certainly does offer potential buyers peace of mind.

Hashtagtrends is no scammer

Received my trim set today, exactly as described. Also, lots of communication when I questioned the time it took for the shipment to arrive. USPS hasn't the best reputation for speedy delivery, and this package came from Poland, which meant it had to clear customs in addition. I wasn't happy that shipping took so long, but in retrospect, international mail and parcel post is often slow.

It wouldn't be the worst idea if this forum started using something like HeatWare.com to post trade evaluations.

But we have the Feedback system? Although I do like the idea of one place to accumulate sales feedback.

Do you guys think there is a chance we could get the original post topic changed? "Hashtagtrends is a scammer" really may look bad jumping up the sales forum from time to time.

Try to send a PM to one of the moderators to have the title change. The OP and others who jump the gun should apologize to you. GL on the rest of your sale.

Well, it's been 3 weeks since I paid Maciej and my trim still hasn't shipped. It's been one excuse after another and there have been multiple missed shipping dates. In every case, these shipping commitments were voluntarily made by Maciej.

Communication was great right up until I paid and then it dropped off dramatically. Since then, I've lost track of how many of my emails have gone unanswered. In an email from Wed 4/1, Maciej promised it would go out "definitely before the weekend". It's now midnight Poland-time and still no shipping confirmation, and no proactive communication - just more excuses in response to my threatening email.

Maciej - Don't even bother responding to my email. We'll communicate publically in this thread from now on. The question stands: Which day will my trim ship? Choose wisely, because I'm going to hold you to it. Any more excuses beyond there and I'll start spamming every one of your threads here, BF.c, Bimmerfest, and every watch thread I can.

Seeing as I paid you 3 weeks ago, I have to wonder why are other people's shipments going out before mine? Again I ask, if you had time to take pictures and post several sets of trim today, why couldn't my shipment go out? My patience is wearing thin. You may screw me on this trim, but don't expect to ever sell anything on any BMW forum again.

My $.02? Leave the thread title as-is. At best, he's a shitty seller. At worst, the OP was right.
