Mkiii / mk3 nav unit & 8 cd set

I upgraded my NAV to the MKIV. So, my MKIII that came with my 2001 M5 is up for sale. The build date of the NAV and the car match as you can see in the pictures below.

Everything works perfectly. It is in perfect condition. I even have the 8 CD set with the BMW carrying case that came originally with the car.

This is a perfect replacement, perfect "downgrade" if you are planning on selling your car with the MKIV, or a good upgrade from the MKII.

It is a easy plug and play modification and I am including the tools (a coat hanger already cut up) to remove your other NAV unit.

$220 shipped to CONUSA for everything.

Here are the pics:

Good luck with the sale. Would you be willing to sell disc 7 by itself?

I would like to sell it as a set. I have a CD/DVD writer so I can burn the disc for you and hopefully it works. PM your contact information and I will send it to you for free.

I am going to put it up on eBay on Sunday for a no reserve auction, if it does not sell here. Thanks.

Interested in the package. Would this work with the small screen in my 2000 model or would I need to upgrade to the bigger screen in the dash?

You don't need to upgrade the screen from what I have read. You do need to pay special attention to where the GPS connector is though in your 2000. Please see the attached video:

Here is all you need to know:
1) The MK3/4 computers are a direct plug in.
2) You will need to purchase a GPS antenna cable extension (p/n 61 12 8 372 410).
3) Unplug the 12-pin connector on your current GPS receiver.

You will need to extend your GPS antenna cable to reach the new computer. The MKII uses an external GPS receiver, which is where your antenna cable is currently plugged in. This module is located in the compartment just forward the spare wheel well. The later computers have an integrated GPS receiver, so the antenna must reach to the site of the computer, and your current cable is not long enough to do so. If you buy the above part (or similar), you will be okay. Also unplug the main connector on the GPS receiver module, which will no longer be used.

Also, I searched the net for the part (61 12 8 372 410) you will need for your 2000. On bavauto.com it is $46.95. If you want this I will help you with the cost. $200 shipped. So, by the time you are done with this DIY, you will be in it for $250 total!

Thanks.
