Lost me here buddy.
I didn't cancel bids. I did not set a desired sale price because this was not a reserve price auction.
Your opinion. Mine differs.
You're really showing your a__ here. Your anger over not winning an auction for the engine at a price you wanted is blinding your ability to comprehend that there was nothing binding me to complete the auction. Suggesting to others that they not 'deal' with me due to an oversight on your part is preposterous.

Honestly, I don't really care. But I do think you acted dishonorably. The whole point is that you did NOT set a reserve price in the auction, but then pulled the auction because you didn't obtain an acceptable price in the auction. Thus, you conducted a reserve price auction without explicitly saying so, thereby inducing people to bid with the attraction of a "no reserve" auction, but not being bound by the result. In my world, I run a lot of auctions, and if it's a no reserve auction, the seller is bound to accept the highest and best bid by definition. You and I disagree about auction ethics. To each his own.
