Yipee! Delivery Today; now driving home...

Finally. I thought that the day would never come but today was it! Took delivery of my Silver Gray e60 in the freezing cold just outside of St. Louis. As others have said, the car is INCREDIBLE and i have not even pushed it to the full 500hp yet (been keeping it in 400 so far). And I also have to say that the SMG is great. As reported, it definitely takes a bit to get used to as it's the first SMG I've driven myself. The power, sound, throttle blips, etc. are just intoxicating.

Thankfully I have a great sales advisor and he was able, with some pushing, to get my VANOS line replaced prior to my delivery and drive home to CA. I just didn't want that thing blowing all over the middle of nowhere on my drive home. So a big thanks to the team at Newbold.

Here are a few obligatory pictures - more to follow each night I hope. And thanks to everyone here for the moral support as i awaited delivery - it is great to have such an active community with the M5 - my wife just would not understand... Thanks, Tom.

Congratulations. I wonder why you took a picture near a gas station, it does drink fuel, doesnt it

The third picture looks very good.
