RPI GTS Exhaust - The Perfect Exhaust? *Video & Review*

Well, to me, it may very well be a perfect tone and sound. I finally installed it today, and let me tell you, I am THRILLED. Completely transforms the car - full beast mode! Is it too loud? NO! Is it loud? VERY...but only when you want it to be. When you let her rip to redline, it screams all the way to the top. Cruising on the highway, the car is only slightly louder then stock, but perfect...enough to let you know it's still there and ready to rip. It's not going to be quiet at all times, but it's got such an incredible tone to it...even my father could not stop talking about it and he usually hates everything I do regarding cars...ha.

I've been getting thumbs up from people on foot, stopping crowds of people pointing (even though I am simply cruising by casually), and startling those I have to pass because they drive obnoxiously slow. I am in love with the sound - it reminds me exactly like the Meisterschaft video BrianZuk took a long while ago that made owning an exhaust a necessity for me.

Price-wise, the value here is unreal...a full exhaust for this price is unbeatable. Do I notice a power difference? Hard to tell - it's not exactly good driving weather out here in Buffalo NY, so I can't really say much about this. It certainly didn't get slower, though...haha. I wouldn't buy this exhaust for the purpose of expecting a massive performance gain- maybe a little less power earned then the RPI scoops/filter/plate kit gives you would be what I register on the inaccurate ole' butt dyno. It's tough to feel 10whp in a car like this, really. And I know better then to let the sound confuse me into thinking I am accelerating faster then I really am...haha.

If I had to do it all again...I would have ordered the same exhaust the minute it came out! GREAT buy, and it's balance of loudness/aggressiveness is perfect, as well as the fact it's going to be cheaper for an RPI full exhaust then most other companies Section 3, makes this the perfect exhaust purchase.

Video coming soon...I'm going to capture the car on a nicer day in different scenarios so you can get a decent sense of how it sounds. It's hard to tell from YouTube, but this thing sounds quite insane in real life. I can't wait to have a friend I can trust with the beast drive by me while I'm standing outside just to admire. Good God...I love the V10!!!

Great writeup. I spent the first week with the radio off.
My favorite part is the cold start.
Now the hardest part is to keep it in garage during weekends when I have to log some mileage in the family van!

Enjoy!

If you want it louder? Get the GT section 1. And then get the headers.

Nice write up djdstar. I'm loving this exhaust as well. And I definitely agree on the value. I don't know ANY other company that sells a full system for anywhere close to RPI's pricing. A superbly made complete exhaust; with an awesome sound that rivals most Italian exotics; which provides proven gains; and all at about the same price as most other company's section 3. No brainer.
