19" HRE C20 w/ Yellow Brembos & Lowered

Ok, got the ASR intake, GEN III exhaust, tuning, HRE's & Brembos. Still need the Evosport parts - hopefully next week. Anyways, check out the wheels and brakes and the stance. Oh, yea and the Vorsteiner lip.

Saw the M6 at Ben's place last week. Those brakes look hugh through the 19" wheels. How does the M6 feel?
The ASR intake filters are more recessed behind the front grills on the M6. How do you like the exhaust?
Looking good.

Looks really nice!

I am also interesed about what you think about the Gen III exhaust? Which one are you running the "R" (smaller mufflers on each pipe before the X-pile) or the "S" (one big muffler before the X pipe).

How would you rate the note and volume of the exhaust compared to stock? Especially from inside the car

gasterus, I considered 20's, but I wanted to "frame" the brakes and keep the space between them and the wheels as narrow as possible. Also, I like the look of having a bit more "meat" on the wheels. The rear's are 305's. I spent a week going back and forth with my friend Ben before I decided on 19's. I'm also saving a few lbs at each corner. Not huge, but every little bit helps.

Hi Ranger! The car feels like a rocket! After 3K rpm, its very much like my C6 Z06 when it was stock. I had it past the speed limit for only a few occasions but it truly feels strong strong strong. Can't wait for the headers and pulley to complete the package. I haven't seen the intake on an M5 but it is pretty recessed in there.

The exhaust is only described as "exotic" - all the younger drivers just stare and through my rear view mirror I caught two AMG drivers staring. On my way to the Auto Show I got a big thumbs up from a gent in a 67 Stingray.

But, it is loud! How about over 100db at cold start? It settles down to 80db whne warm, which is still loud. Lets hook up soon so you can see it clean it was filthy when it was at Ben's.

Hi M5 Roggan - The fit and finish of the ASR exhaust is top notch. I am running 2 small race cats before the x-pipe because the plan is to get rid of the primary cats when I get the headers. No doubt that the exhaust is loud. My wife loves it, so does my older son. It has a pretty strong resonance right at 3K rpm, but its very liveable when cruising and idling - with my SPL meter, I got 80db inside the cabin once it had warmed up.

Hi Tiptronicsoldier - the car has been lowered, but I forgot what springs where used, It's only slightly lower. That combined with the 305's out back make it stick like crazy. It feels very close to stock over bumps and road imperfections.

Thanks for the feedback on the exhaust Pio! I like it loud But not too much drone at low throttle and cruising speed, other then that, let her scream!! I have a Gen III on order, cant wait to get it installed. You mentioned that there is some resonance around 3k, does that create drone that you could get annoyed with for long cruises?

Btw, there is a lot that speaks for 19's over 20's and only (in some eyes) better looks of the 20's. So if you prefer the look of the 19's with some more "meat" like you say for the tires then its the perfect setup for you! I think it looks great, im sure it looks even better in "person"!!

I also like the way the 19's look and dont regret the decision. On the Exhaust, I dont know how to explain it other then it gets louder in the bass tones and peaks right around 3K rpm before it settles down. When I keep my foot on it past 3k rpm the sound changes from a low bass tone to a higher pitch that just SCREAMS at 7,500 rpm!

Cruising in 7th gear with the revs at around 2k to 2.5k it is quite enough inside to listen to music, have a conversation, etc. If you keep it in a lower gear it will get pretty loud up to 3K rpm - its louder there then 4k rpm. I want to take some video and post it, but have to coordinate with my son or brother in law to hold the camera.

Do I like it? YES, Absolutely I do. Is it louder then I expected? Yes, absolutely. But it sounds beautiful, Ferrari-like. Exotic. The exhaust along with the intake and tuning make noticeable power over stock. Not night and day like NOS, but for sure it is noticeable. The shifts in S6 are incredibly brutal.

Pio, thanks for sharing your detail experience on the ASR exhaust. I have a gen3 on order, I guess it'll be best to choose the quieter S version since I'm planning to run completely catless. I just worried the resonance will be too disturbing for daily driving.
I currently running E-race with a pair of race cats and resonance@ 3k rpm is just too loud for me. Even my 4 year old daughter refused to sit in my car . I do not have a db meter so I'm not sure how loud is 80db, but hopefully it will not be louder than my existing setup . Do you have Gen2 or 3 exhaust?

I like the 19" setup, real race looking and I bet it performs much better than stock. GJ
