Shades of Blue, a pair of rare blue E34 M5's

Possibly the first time both Mauritius and Avus blue E34 M5's have been captured together in the same photos. With only three US Mauritius blue built and somewhere between twelve and eighteen Avus blue in the states (including Euro cars imported) this truly is a rare sight.

I have owned the Mauritius blue '91 (darker with black interior) for about a year and a half and Jason Weaver has owned the Avus blue for approx. six months. I had several of the local E34 M5 owners over last Sunday evening (9 E34 M5's and an E30 M3 converged on Santa Clara). Jason arrived before the others so we could get a few pic's before the sun went down.

That is also my Alpine White '91 nearly hidden in the garage. Interestingly enough, Jason also owns a second E34 M5, a '91 also Alpine White. Enjoy.

Ken, very nice!! I still love the look of the E34 body style. Avus Blue was always my most desired color in a US Spec E34 M5......but after hearing about your RARE find you may have won me over to Mauritius!!! Either one of you guys ever want to sell I want to be first on the list!!!! How many miles do you guys have on those two machines?? Now all you need is another pic with the two cars next to a nice Velvet Blue E39 M5!!!

Eh:

Estoril Blue Metallic "Estorilblau Metallic" (335)
*A very common e36 M3 color, but was first used on the e34 M5.

Is that true? I have neverseen a E34 in Estoril Blue?

Also regarding this:
'Fjord Grey Metallic "Fjordgrau Metallic" (310)
*Supposedly, this is the rarest of the stock e34 M5 colors, with under 5 units of this color produced for the entire world! I find it hard to believe, but the source is decent. I recieved an email about this and I do not know if this is bogus or not so, do not hesitate to email me if you know otherwise!

Know a M5 Touring for sale in that colour in Germany, it was so rare? Grr should have bought it!

Here is another Individual Colour:

From the orignal location of my site:

http://home1.swipnet.se/~w-19495/M5.html

I'm getting nostalgic!

I have still around 900 visitors a week on it

I like both colors on those cars. The e34 M5 are truly classics IMHO. Thanks for posting.

BTW... Nice 7 series Sport wheels

Hehe, the "7er Sport wheels" are M Parallels. The M Parallels were orignally made for the 1995 E34 M5. The M Parallels on the E38 are different from the E34 M Parallels.

I stand corrected. I have M Parallels on my 7 sport (just could not remember the name when I made my original post.) Thanks.

Ken, beautiful pictures! Your blue car is pretty much the best looking M5 I have ever seen in pictures. I'm using one of those shots as my wallpaper now

<------- Secretly hoping that Ken will grow weary of the E34 and decide he needs to sell his cars and replace them with white and blue E39 M5's, at roughly the time I finish school and get a job
