OT - Some idiot just robbed a bank near my office .....

Some crazy f+++! just robbed a BankOne a block away from my office building... there are cops everywhere and they have dogs, helicopters, etc.. and they've told us not to leave our floor and NOT to let ANYONE in... they think he is inside the building.

What kind of idiot would try something like this given the current mood of law enforcement in our country. I know if I were a cop, I would have a pretty itchy trigger finger right about now, and would have little tolerance for anyone breaking the law right now.

What the heck is this world coming to??

I will keep you all posted on this... as it unfolds.. Houston guys, you will no doubt see this on the local news tonight!

Sort of in line with the price-jacking of gas in Texas.

        NEvertheless, remain cautious?

They probably think it's a perfect time to rob a bank. It's a federal crime, so if they can escape the local police for a day or two, how many FBI agents will then get assigned to their case in light of recent events?

In big case like WTC, new special agents graduated (entire class) from FBI Academy are shipped to NY to support the investigation. Unless you have special skills needed, you are staying at the local office. I would say that Bank Robbery division should handle this case.

And don't ask me how I know this...

I just found out that one of my good friend in NY lost her close friend and one missing. (they worked in 88th floor of first building got hit!)

I have good fate in Fed. Law Enforcement Agencies.. They will catch those f***ers responsible for this tragedy soon!!!! IF not, I will be er

I heard a news report stating that fighter jets are flying over 41 major cities. Since Houston is one of our larger cities, (top ten????), I'm not surprised that they have f-15's flying overhead.

FYI: Houston is the fourth largest city in the US.

This is way off topic, but I thought Houston dropped after the last census. Is it still #4???
