Off Topic ForumThis is the place for mature discussions not necessarily related to cars. This is however also moderated and only registered members are allowed to post. No religion and no vicious attacks.
Let me start off by saying the M6 is an amazing car I would like to pick one up in the very near future. That being said, I cannot agree and you can't possibly think that those are "real world" results?!?!?
Real world results would be from a dig (not a roll) and the Kleemann K4 would have murdered and I mean murded the stock M6. At least by 15 car lengths. I have a Kleemann K3 and my best friend has a stock M6. I blow him out of the water from a dig, in fact it's not even a race.
Mate, the world is a big place. In Europe (especially around Germany) we tend to keep the races on the highways. So in my part of the world, this race is a perfect "real world" example. You might say speeds never exceed 100 mph, let me tell you this: I've yet to be a passenger of a race that didn't exceed 100 mph on a highway. Hell, most of the times they even begin from 60 - 70 mph.
Although I'm not saying that ANY M-car would not be absolutely slaughtered by a K4 from a dig, I've no doubts they would.
To clear something up that has been bothering me; my name is Gustav (hello board leader ), my dad's name is Morten. I post 99% of all posts under the MortenDK account - so call me Gustav
The question is, are you still willing to pull over at McDonalds with the Kleemann guy and have a burger / chat cars regardless of the outcome of the """race"""*
Sebring makes wonderful points. It's great that so many folks are so passionate about their cars. Sometimes that passion degrades a bit into other areas.
While it would be great to be able to cross post some of these videos without any visceral reactions, folks know (especially Gustav) that they will turn into melee. I believe I was the first person to drag race the new M5 in the US. Without LC, it was such a slaughter that I chose not to post the video in give what I thought to be an unfair representation of the M5. No need to pick a fight if it's not necessary. Though I did post the first clips of a M5 on a road course the same weekend, much to the chagrin of the break-in nazis.
Gustav knew exactly what type of reaction he'd get from the Mercedes boys when he posted the video. I think several of those responses are incorrect or uncalled for but that's the exact behavior Gustav was trying to provoke.
Gustav, you banned we (for a short time) because I called BS on a M5 beating a F40. Give me a break. Though passionate, I try and keep as neutral as possible about these cars and have owned, road coursed, and drag raced all of them.
Gustav, don't provide the fuel and then complain about the fire. You're a BMW enthusiast through and through. I expect that from you. But don't complain when turnabout becomes fair play.

Why not? It's just a friendly, no money at stake or anything. I can't see the reason why you can't have a laugh with your fellow enthusiasts without getting carried away about who got the faster car.

IMO this is what this thread is all about. I think that in the back of their heads, everybody involved will agree on this.
We may not 100% agree with eachother on brand-related issues, but all 911 , AMG, Kleemann, M5/M6 , Ferrari , Lamborghini, Mustang,Z06 owners stand united in one thing: The will to keep driving these glorious machines, regardless of social disapproval, government Nazi tax rules, petrol prices, maintenance cost whilst living in an environment which allows us all less and less to use full potential of these cars.
I was banned BEFORE I posted the PM. Apparantly the rules I broke was posting to m5board. It all makes sense since you guys did not enjoy that K4 vs M6 video. Funny how you telling that I am a hypcirite and bannign left and right when you actually are here on my site -never banned- and when I am banend from mbworld.
I wont read trhough your dribble since i simply dont have the time. I can show you anything and you obviously dont beleive it, so I have given up on you, you are helpless.
Anycase, after all it might be nice just not te be on that site a majority of the members are really really ofd the charts. My latst epitet on mbworld os not "terrorist"
Imm do my videos and stay here for now

I can assure you our moderators will not ban you for it.
Well, I don't really think there is equivalence. Gustav posts race videos and does not get censored or banned (until today, when he did clearly violate the TOU, by posting PMs publicly--explicitly a violation), while when myself and others come here to reciprocate, we are censored, moderated, or banned.
Again: this is what I take issue with. I am simply saying that if Gustav repeatedly bans people and refuses to even demonstrate any TOU violation on their part, then it is rather disengenous on his part to complain for being banned for posting PMs publicly, a clear violation of our TOU.
Thank you. I certainly haven't seen you personally engaged in this sort of thing, and have no quarrel with you. My issue is with double standards, pure and simple. Thanks again for the civil discussion and lack of hair-trigger banning. See how nice true freedom of speech is?
Derek, first of all your ban was a mistake and here we are unbanned.
Anyway, I think it is silly to ba nme for TUI that is linking to another website? Funny coinsident that it was minutes after I the M6 vs K4 video came up, after mbworld members had requested them for weeks Many many many cases of personal attacks get unntoiced and people accuse me of ban people and hide the truth when the reality is that they ban me, exactly the opposite. Quite a way to prove that they behave even worser than they claim me to behave.
However, no problem I understood it would be a debate, but get banned and called a terrorist that is just
