        Spacers required?

        i've heard from people with e39 that have 19"s required spacers. is that true?

        No. Not "required".

        You need to research the concept of 'wheel offset'.... You can get a 19" rim that is 9.5" wide with the right bolt pattern and depending on the OFFSET it will fit or rub. Offset it the degree to which the CENTER of the tread is 'offset' to the face of the hub where the wheel mounts.

        When you buy wheels you need to specify the diameter, width, bolt pattern, hub bore AND OFFSET!
