        Tool Chest recomendations

I am looking for advice on tool chest. I just need a small 4-5 drawer top chest. Going to sit ontop of a work bench, I only have a small collection of tools and dont want to over-do it on the chest by having a full roll away taking up space in a not so big garage (2 car garage that will house 2 cars and 2 bikes).
I am looking at a Craftsman Ball Bearing 6 Drawer for $110(red; $139 for black) on sale right now. I dont mind spending a few $'s more then that on something else. Not $1k+ like the Snap-ons, but looking for other ideas.

Also on work benches, the craftsman one I am looking at is about $200 I think, with drawers for storage, and an open spot.

Any brands to look at would be appreciated.
        Thanks all!
        Matt

Just go with the Craftsman. I have a couple Craftsman chests, from a small three drawer bench top, to a 10 drawer roller chest. They are good quality and have a great price. Besides I think they have a lifetime warranty on the chest. Snapon, Matco, Facom etc are complete rip offs. Only a pro mechanic or jay leno can justify a Snap On tool set with big tool chest.

Well I don't know if I'd call Snap On a rip off, they are high quality tools with excellent service. Having said that, I agree that not many besides pros whose living depends on their tools can afford an entire set. I do have a few Snap On pieces that I enjoy using.

Like you I have a Craftsman set and I like it. I would just say, spring for the roller bearing drawers and the heavier duty set up. Craftsman's cheapest lines are, well, cheaply made in my experience.

claymax, tools and chest are different to me. Tools I can understand some people justifying spending the $ on snapon or such, for example, the craftsman socket wrenches SUCH these days (brother goes through 2-3 3/8" a year, my dad has had his since the 60s or 70s probably...) But tool chest I dont see the benifit of 5-10 times the price...

The ball bearing chest is only $2 more then the "quietglide" I think it was (Sunday ad), I dont mind spending the $2 more. My dad has the cheaper stuff, my brother has the Craftsman Pro (was given as gift) and its a world difference. But I cant tell much difference between the ball and the pro for home garage use. I am sure if I was rolling it around a big shop there might be...

Thanks for help. Heading to Sears to window show this afternoon I think
