ARD SUCKS [Vote Ard for moderator? ;)]

So I posted my car for sale in the for sale section and this guy ARD posts links to my SES problem and asks me if I got the SES light fixed. Right before he pulls that stunt he says HOW DARE YOU SEEL YOUR CAR ON HERE WITH AN SES LIGHT AND A WORN CLUTCH. GO TRADE THAT IN BUT DO NOT SELL IT ON THE BOARD. I am in no way trying to hide the fact it needs a clutch or needs the SES issue fixed. I am only asking 27k for it and I figured this was a great place to offer my car at such a low price, but this guy has to come and be a dick, you would think with over 3500 post you wouldn't be a tool.

I don't want to get in the middle of this, but try not to lose you cool over 1 guys post. Don't get me wrong, I hear where you are coming from, IMHO it's not that big a deal. You know that you honestly represented the car and it's not worth it. Good luck selling the car. I hope it works out for you. Most of us know that a clutch and SES light is no big deal b/c we have all been there.

Sorry man, but I'm on ARD's side here. You recently posted about how you took your car in to be fixed but they weren't able to do it and you say your clutch is about gone. I say unload on ebay or a dealer but not to one of us. I'd like to think a car being sold by one of us would be in above average condition. Good luck with the sale.

I think you are overreacting a little bit. Ard bringing up the SES light issue isn't going to convince anyone not to buy your car. But keep in mind there is really no excuse for using profanity on the board...

Don't drag down the tone on the board by posting personal grievances and escalating the whole issue.

Pm him , don't talk smack on the board it's not the cool thing to do...By the way I tend to agree with ard's actions in regards to your car problems SES lights could be no big deal or a fricken BIG deal and far as the clutch goes everyone knows they are weak in the stock form.. By the way this is my opinion which doesn't mean anything...

Ard expressed his thoughts about selling a defective car here. Obviously such feedback is not being solicited by you....& perhaps his reaction was a bit harsh. Maybe other's feel the car was properly represented and suitable for sale here. So what? The comment was on-topic and it wasn't a "personal" attack. Your advertizement for the car will be judged on it's own merits by other readers & I doubt of Ard's comments will sway them.

This separate thread you started is 100% off-topic & 100% personal attack. It's laden with inappropriate namecalling that only degrades your reputation...not to mention having zero technical content (wrong forum).

If you fully disclosed all the information in the for sale thread then ard's post should have given no new information and thus shouldn't be considered a threat when buying the car. Also, if you are selling it here people will know the SES light issue and the clutch issue and know what they are and how they affect the value of the car, so whatever ard says is known by most or will be known before someone browsing this forum makes the decision to buy your car. Again, I don't see the problem with ard's post.

This should be in a PM. If I was a mod I'd delete this but instead I just respond...
