Plates and license gone again
After taking back my license that they took from me in Austria 4 months ago in the dustball race , last sunday i was coming back from a trip and at 2am sunday morning they stopped me with 220km .
Now that i call bad luck , 500km at that time of the night the road was clear
i even had the V1 closed and 10km from my home there they where dammit.
They took the plates and license for 1 month
License i can stand but the plates < its to obvious you cant go anywhere without plates .

John, that sucks.
Can you give a breif breakdown of how that works in your country? Here they suspend our liscense in the computer system. But they dont take plates, cause others could drive.

only for a month! Thats not bad. In the USA (or in georgia) the cop will shoot you first, then take you to jail, then you get your license suspended for atleast 6 months if not a year.

The law says : If you are 20% higher than the road limit (which never exeeds 120km anywhere & instantly makes you an outlaw)they take your plates car & driving licence there is no price to pay , after a year a paper comes to you and you go to court for the rest .
Thats not all , they can acctually take you to court instantly and if its friday you sleep in a cell until monay morning and straight to court .They almost never do that though but still if you argue or missbehave they can thats the law .
Taking plates is very common in Athens , even if you park your car where you are not supposed to they take your plates for a month but in this case they leave a ticket with a price to pay & there is an option to pay tripple the money after 3 days and go get them back .
The best speeding laws i've met so far are in Germany where there is a speed limit in bends or certain points of the road and when through you can go as fast as you like but only in the left lane of course !!!
Anywayz can you imagine how i feel driving my ford connect van(at least that has plates) and having my baby parked iam fed up .
3 weeks and counting

In the US you would have been jacked for going that fast! They might take it away for a few months + heavy court fees + etc!
That being said, I feel for you m8.
