Nanotechnology. It's big business. I've considered going into the field actually. I mean everything is still really expensive ($250 a pop!) but just like microchips pretty soon it will be accessible to the general public and those who spent time will make $$$$$$$$$.

My guess is two plates with ultrathin metal deposited in the inside and electrochromic gel in between. Been around 30 years.
30 day warranty... pretty laughable.

Here in the UK there was a company that did exactly the same thing (uses LCD technology) but they went bust since nobody was allowed to fit these:

Spray on?
Has anyone tried the spray one stuff you see in the back of the magazines? The idea is to cause a glare from the plate so the camera gets a blurry picture. I do not necessarly believe that it works, but I wish it did.

Per the website:"Upon arrival at the car show, the Stealth Kit can be de-activated to hide the license plate. This allows the show car to be displayed while helping to maintain the privacy of the owner."
Yeah right. I'm sure that's why people are buying it.
