Rats!
So my Tundra wasn't running right yesterday, and the check engine light was on. I had it towed in to the $tealer, and found out that rats have basically eaten all my wires. Gonna be at *least* $800, probably more. How is this E-39 related?....well, hopefully it won't become so. It's WAR now.

Rats ate the hood liner out of my Mother's BMW a few years ago ... wires were OK, though ... but, in 1981, I was in Dallas at a computer store and the guy told me that rats had eaten the wires on the Macs they had in the warehouse ... they're awful, once they get a foothold ...

Rats made a nest in my father-in-laws engine of his ZR-1 Vette. He lives near you just off Gopher Cyn.

It was parked outside my garage. Pretty much everyone here said "oh, that happened to me too" when I told them. Gotta spread more poison/traps. The score is currently JD-2, Rats 1...but it's a pretty big "1".

Guys,
I always have rat/mice traps in my garage for this reason. Don't take the risk, put some in yours. I use the spring loaded AND sticky pad types. Seeing them dead is peace of mind.

Mice and squirrels here in Tejas. They ate THROUGH some electrical wiring in my attic. How they heck do they eat through power lines and not die?
Yep, get the traps and just keep them up there. You'll need them sooner or later.
....tempted to get a cat and have him live in the attic!

Looking at that pic, at least he died happy.
Kind of like me getting whacked at Ruth Chris's steakhouse. Dead, but with a mouthful of food. Mmmmm, a Homer moment.

They cost me about $500+ last year when they chewed through my jacuzzi wires. I'd get some cats, but they tend to become coyote food out here.
