Got my first ticket in M5 today
I got a ticket today for 76 in a 55......funny thing is i hadn't gone into the 55 zone yet.....i think im gonna fight this one because i had my cruise at 75 and i was still in the 65 zone. so.............
I ordered my lidatek M20 laser jammer today from beastpower.....does anyone else have this? How good is it?

I have the Lidatek jammer and the only time in 7 months or so of ownership that it went off is when I was right behind an Alpina Z8 at a stop light and the taillights set it off.
I just don't think cops are using laser in my area. I'm sure it will come in use one day.

I have had the lazer indicator on the V1 come on southbound 73.....
and I know my cousin in his maserati has been hit several times in newport and sorrounding areas.

Closest I got was 96 (104 indicated) in a 70, just west of Blythe at 7:00 AM on a Sunday (just a couple of months ago). Was able to go to traffic school ...
Had gotten a ticket (90 in a 70) just outside of Vegas about a year ago, but they changed it to an Illegal Parking ticket for me ... (I'm BAD!)

I got a ticket in Cleveland Ohio doing 118 in a 55. I was on my way to work racing a S2000. I was actaully doing around 130 when I saw the cop in the berm and hit the breaks. I had a manditory court date where I told the judge, "It was my bagel day...you are never late with the bagels, the ladies I work with are like vultures".....true story. The judge laughed and gave me 2 points and $150 fine.
When the cop finally cought up to me (waiting in the berm for him) I showed him a badge a buddy gave me that said "friend" on it. The cop said "I don't care if you have jesus in the car".
I was younger and way more stupid...driving a supercharged Integra GSR. I promised my wife I would sell the car. I them bought my first M, a 1998 e36M3. I loved that car! (the M3)

Yup, yup, yup.
I've had my share of speeders... and fought many. I can't tell you how many time people come it, determined to prove the cop was wrong. The judge agrees that perhaps they really were only doing 68 not 75 like the cop said, but since the speed limit is 60, he finds them guilty.
If all you have is "I was not yet in the 55 zone" don't bother. Develop a strategy, with multiple arguments... plenty of info on how to do it.
I have a V1 and have never seen a speed laser here in N. CA between Placerville and SF Bay... primarily Ka CHP radar. Lots of falsing with laser for tail lights and LED Signs.

Got my first ticket in my X5 today  50 mph in a 35 zone. The MC cop used a lazergun and was hiding on a side street.
Hoping my luck will be better when I get my beast.
Are lazer jammers legal in California?, and if not what are the consequences if you get caugt using one?
