The only surviving Top Gear presenter is Clarkson. All the other guys left. Quentin Wilson, Tiff etc. Probably because Clarkson has got a big ego and he wants to be the main star of the show.

This is all just my own personal opinion. I could be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if it was down to a personality/ego problem.

The top gear format was a little tired and the bbc wanted to change the concept, they cleaned out all the staff apart from Clarkson.

The other presenters moved over to channel 5, and carried on the old top gear format under the new name 5th gear.

Uhm, it was the other way around, first Clarkson left the show, lost it's pace, Needell and the rest than started Fifth Gear and Clarkson came back to run the Topgear show...
