Re: The Phantom of the Opera
I saw it a couple years ago in the Boston theatre and enjoyed it quite a bit. In fact, I think it was the best play that I have ever seen (not saying much since I have only seen a couple, haha). I loved the suspense and the amazing effects that the theatre props produced. While the set was not as overwhelming as in Les Miserables(sp), I was definately drawn into the perforamce much more in the Phantom of the Opera.

Re: The Phantom of the Opera
I really liked the songs and the music, and actually the end was a bit moving...

Re: The Phantom of the Opera
I saw it a number of years ago in San Fran, and loved it! My mom had seen it a few times, and wanted me to see it. I hate plays, and I mean hate. Ive been to a million school plays, some profesional plays, and never liked one (Cats was horrible...the worst of the lot). But Phantom was great. Great songs, good acting, wonderful character development, and a great plot. And yes, I guess I'm a softie too, the end was very moving. I would go see it again in a heartbeat. The chandeller crashing down was was intense too.

Re: The Phantom of the Opera
We enjoyed it here in London some years ago. The sets are spectacular (especially the candles) and we were lucky to have some great soloists. The material is typically 'light' and as long as you don't expect anything intellectual or sophisticated you're in for a good night's entertainment.
