        I have seen this in an old Top Gear episode.

        I think Tiff drives an Aston Martin and Vicki rides along with a Jaguar fighter jet. I think they reach similare result. The car was quicker up until the jet takes off the ground.

        My bud was talking about this tonight. I love those little novelty races, but the numbers the F1 posted were very good for a car thats suited to road racing and not dragracing. Thanks for the links

        I don't see why this was such big news (all over TV yesterday)..

        This has been done several times before, with CART cars, corvettes, etc etc

        Top-Gear even did a full race around their track with the Harrier.


        Pretty lame if you ask me..

        I suppoose its just because its Michael Schumacher and Ferrari, puts it in a higher league than any of the others.

        Patrick Carpentier of the now gone Player's Forsythe team runing in the CART series has raced a CF-18 and won. I can't remember the distance but the victory was clear!

        they werent allowed afterburners though, and only raced until about 150mph/about 1/4mile
