        WOW!!! No more RS6

        This according to Autospies.com:

"Almost as fast as it came the Audi RS6 will disappear into the sunset.

The Spies have learned there will be no 2004 RS6's. The 2003 model will be the last of the breed in the current body style.

And belive it or not, there are still quite a few out there across the country still for sale in dealerships...So much for "If you build it, they will come".

We'll all have to wait until the next generation car appears sometime in 2006".
        **************************************************

I wonder if the new E55 had anything to do with this?

I maybe mistaken with the details, but I believe it has to do with the RS6 not meeting the stricter European emission standards for next year. That is the reason why it was originally planned to be a car slated for limited production.

The emission standards are one reason with the other one being the fact that a new Audi A6-series will come on sale some time next year. They might make a RS6 of that but it remains to be seen. A S6 with probably roughly the same amount of power as the current RS might come available too.
and true that all RS-models so far have been very restricted in the amounts produced.

Now MB only has to crush the new M5, then we will have no competition, I wonder if chris bunghole is on the MB payroll (what else could explain the horrible new designs).
