What is This (VW Phaeton Pics)

what are all these buttons (the blue round things, etc.). Are the climate controls on the roof as well?

Phaeton???

are you sure those are pictures of the ragtop? How can the convertible have an overhead console? I can see by the pics that the center knob is for fresh vs. recirc air, and there are buttons for the spot lamps, but I can't tell what the big blue lights are...

Um where did I say that the Phaeton pictures were of a ragtop? WTF? I can't tell what the blue lights were, that's what I was asking about.

Gibbo...

I hadn't seen this car before, and when you had "Phaeton" in the subject line, I, naturally, assumed that it was a convertible:

From our old Uncle Webster:
"Noun 1. phaeton - large open car seating four with folding top"

The blue lights are "mood" lighting...

I'm guessing that G is right, the blue lights are the spots. I looked closer, and the knob is for the sunroof (closed @ 6:00, back tipped up @ 3:00, and open at 12:00
