American Express Blue, who has one?

Hey guys, I got an offer today from American Express for thier "Blue" credit card. It has a 0% APR for 6 months then 10.99% after that. It also has 3.99% on all balance transfers for the life of the balance. Right now I have a balance on my Capital One of about $190 at 13.90%, so I would transfer that to the Blue. I don't use credit cards much so its more to just have. I would probably keep the capital one since everywhere takes Visa. I ussually use it if I need gas or something. I would use the AE more just to have or if I had an emergency. Credit limit on the AE ranges from 2000-100k. I am guessing my limit would probably be between $2-3k. I think I am going to get it esspecially to transfer my current balance on to it. Also, as some of you know AE will sometimes nail you with a very high APR if you don't pay the balance off at the end of the money, this card would just be 10.99% if you chose to retain a balance. I know some people will say "10.99% is high" but it would be lower than my current 13.90% and I will continue to build my credit. In one year, when my car is paid off, my credit score will be over 700 and probably closer to 710 or 720 at that point I will apply for a very low interest CC.

Ok I am done, can anyone tell me how American Express is? Any problems? Thanks you.

no problem here with Amex, just they aren't taken a lot of places and the membership rewards thing is a joke b/c its hard to accumulate points. Yeah if I were you I'd get a card that had a low balance transfer (some have 0.0% introductory) and then pay off your debt. I'm a 21yo and have 2 cards and no income and my credit score is already like a 760 or something just b/c I always pay everything off responsibly. I use my Amex Blue like an atm/debit card and I like how I can view online everywhere I spent money and slowly accumulate points. However, I just don't think they are as good, as secure, or as accepted as Visa but so far its not really a biggie. Good luck

they also have an Amex Blue Cash Rewards but don't get that one b/c the interest rates are higher and it says 5% cash back but really you only get like 0.5% and you get another 1% on the balance after each month if you don't pay off your card and you get another .5% if its from a hardware store and all these other stipulations and to get up to 5% you have to spend some enormous amount ech month

have fun with the credit cards!
