00 E39 M5 V12 LMR Conversion in IL Does Exist!
I have spoken to a mechanic over at Knauz (The delearship where the car is supposedly serviced) and he has confirmed that this car does indeed exist. The owner is a member over on euroteknik.com (Chicago BMW Board) and seems to be a nice guy. Im going to try and PM and or speak to him at one of their meets. Maybe I can get some pictures from him? We'll see how it goes. I am so excited to know that such an amazing beast is located near me. More info on the car located here. 00 E39 M5 V12 LMR Conversion in IL?
I think the times are a little off but an amazing car nonetheless.
Take care, Donny.

We don't doubt that the Car exists, But I strongly doubt the over exaggerated performance figures.
8.7 QM, no way.
It still would be a weapon, just not Physics defying.

Hmmm - it doesn't make financial sense - you could tune the V8 engine very heavily for that kind of money. But then again when did our passion make financial sense?
Look forward to seeing some pics & stats!

so the car exists..
But as Mark says.. still noway it runs under 9 seconds in the QM.. must be a typo.. maybe 10.7?? I would belive that only because a friend of mine has a very hot Firebird that runs in the 10's every time out...
Would love to see pictures..
Thanks Donny, good job hunting it down..

I was talking to Boris Said some months back (12hour @ Sebring) about the X5 with that 6.1 motor that Hans Stuck drove a few years back at the ring, Boris had talked to him about it, Hans was so impressed with how strong the X5 was in many areas and with that power plant up front, it was just awesome.
