Valentine 1 VS Escort Passport 8500

I'm about to drive down to South Carolina for M5 Driving Experience and I just realized I will be needing a radar detector.

I read several reviews but they suck and I want to hear opinions from people who actually used the radar detectors for a time.

It's either going to be Escort 8500 or V1 but I cant decide yet since V1 seems like it has many more features but several reviews such as http://www.radartest.com/article.asp?articleid=1026 compared to http://www.radartest.com/article.asp?articleid=1027 V1's.

So I just wanted to hear some opinions on which radar is better for highway driving and suburban roads. Thankx

I have both versions and I consistly find myself preferring the V1 over the 8500 for overall for its solid features and performance.

valentine 1

Valentine 1 is much better. I believe this has been discussed several times before and IMO the arrows are helpful and i got alot less false alarms with this than with my beltronics. Valentine one is the best i can think of.
