Ralf Schumacher in an Individual M5

        Hi,

Interesting to see Ralf Schumacher in a nicely optioned E39 M5, on ITV's Formula 1 coverage of the Austrian Grand Prix.

It was definitly one of the later models, it was either Carbon Black or Mystic Blue over Caremel and the lighter wood interior.

It also had armoured windows as it showed the "Black Strip" round the outside of the glass when the windows were wound down to take signatures.

Also he had Chrome Line around the outsides of the windows and another chrome strip going across the boot of the car, like in the 7 series.

        Overall a very nice car

I really don`t like that colour interior. Yuk!

Very good to spot the glass, I didn`t see that.

I liked the way he had to go back to get the keys out of the ignition as he forgot them !! LOL.

Didn`t you just love the burble of the E39 M5 engine and exhaust when he accelerated. Sweet.

        Ivan.

The windows are double-sided (thermos?), I have the exact same and mine definitely aren't armored/bulletproof or anything like it.

They really take away a lot of outside noise and also keeps the car warmer/colder depending on what you want.
The black strip seals the two sides and hides the ugly edge that would appear when rolling down the windows.

I also have the same chrome line, love it!
