        Who owns a boat

Hey guys, I am just curious to see who owns a boat here? Living in florida boating is huge. I do not own a boat yet, although after college I will definetly buy something. If you do own one, what do you have? I'd think that some of you would have a pretty good size yacht to match the extensive car collection.

There is an older thread about boats on the board from last summer, I beleive there is quite a collection on the board!!

I have an antique 1969 30" Bertram Baron offshore racing boat.
Great fun but a gas hog and expensive to maintain. Boating makes modding M5s look like play money !!!

Yes boating can be quiet expensive! I don't even own a boat and I know its a very expensive hobby. Fuel alone will put a dent in anyones wallet! Sounds like a very nice boat though...must be nice, drive to the dock in an M5 and then cruise in a 30' offshore racing boat!

Sorry about posting this, I am going to look for the old thread.

Antique wooden boats are the way to cruse in pleasure, in fresh water though. Definatly great for the cottage!!

And two everyday runabout boats. Although an uncle has a Mastercraft, and I must say they are a pleasure to drive and ski behind. The throttle is percise to one mile and hour and the ride is very smooth for a boat around 20ft.

we have a 80' yacht which I hate and is slow as hell... plus a 20' boston whaler fitted with a 250hp outboard... goes pretty fast too for a whaler and tops out at 45 knots.. funniest thing is that hull is only rated up to 125hp...
