Anyone have a 3G phone?

I decided to get a Nec e606. Not a Nokia or Ericsson but it seems to be very cool with dual cameras, 32 MB memory, Bluetooth and more A bit bulky but the GPS positioning system really impressed me, I always get lost

Anyone have experience of a 3G phone? I wonder who I should make videocalls too Hows the interoperability issue on 3G phones with videocalls

Nice to see that you are keeping with the edge of technology Gustav. I read somewhere that the first Swedish 3G service is up, but that the monhtly payment will be around 900€.. So that probably would be very expensive. THat NEC looks nice, and the Japs have usually the best LDC screens in a phone. The compatibly issue is I think a huge questionmark, no one has had enough experience yet. Alas the videocall requires that the person on the otherside also has a videophone.. Maybe it might be possible to call with some computer software system from a PC to phone, but not so sure about that..

Its a start cost only €60 a month. One thing that is annoying is that the phone does not have GPRS so it can't data roam on 2,5G networks but voice roaming works.

It initially will work in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmoe.

You can take a 15 s videofilm and mail it to anyone apparantly which make it quite usable.

That will definately make mobile porn easy ..
Porn will be one of the killer applications for 3G.

Read somewhere that the three big 3G providers in Sweden won't allow any pornservices on their network.

That would not be a smart move.. as it is, selling 3G to consumers is already a daunting task. Banning the one thing that is easy to set-up and distribute, and will be in high demand, is just not going to lead to profit.

The thing that made internet to what it is today is porn.
