Question for any Swede about track racing
Does anyone know how to go about to when one wants to rent a race track. I called Falkenberg and they turned me down flat.
Anyone got any idea?
Thanks

Have you tried Mantorp?, Knutstorp in Skåne?
I´m sure it will be hard to find some tracktime, but isn´t Bilsport have an event later this summer called "en dag på racerbanan"?
Hmmm, jag hade ju kunnat skrivit på Svenska ser jag nu...

You want to race the whole track for a day?
Try Kinnekulle! It's close to Gothenburg, is the cheapest to rent and it's a very fun track.
Otherwise I think most of the tracks are fully booked for the season. Well maybe not Anderstorp but that's a bit expensive and Midlanda is probably too far.
If you just want to drive on track with your BMW I suggest you check out www.bmwsc.com
Cheers,
/Johan

Thanks Johann
I'm not sure if I would do a full day, might be satisfied with just a half day.
But it would probably only be a friend and I, he got himslef a kick as motorbike and I just want test my car a bit. Never driven on a track before and thought it would be fun to try it sometime.

Just you and your friend? That's going to be a very expensive half day...renting a track in Sweden for a day is going to cost you in excess of 20000SEK. Probably the reason you were turned down straightaway is that they didnt think you had that kind of budget when you didnt tell them you owned a Ferrari or other supercar.
Its much more cost effective to go to one of the BMW club trackdays. And there will be more experienced drivers there that you can learn from.

Keesdh, I might looking into that as wekk, Johann also recommended that.
Will call Kinnekulle and Knutstorp tomorrow and hear what they have to say.
I can allways tag along when the ambulance staff (that's where my friend works) are heading down to Falkenberg . They just haven't set a date yet and I don't want to wait
