        Buying a New Car- Advice?
        Hey guys,

        I don't post much, as I learn alot more reading then posting. Anyway, I'm just finishing my year abroad in England and I'm about to head back to the states. I have not driven in 8 months!

        One of the first things I do when I get back is to buy a car, now I'm a college student, with a limited budget, but I still want a good car...

        Money -

        The debate...

        Spend 8-9k US on a used car? Maybe a VW GTI?

        or

        Buy/Finance a newer car - Would likely be a ricer or something else cheap...

        Any advice would be most welcome, you can contact me on AIM at Kevingrr. What cars would you be looking at? Keep in mind I can't spend a fortune on insurance and maintanance at this point.
