        New M5 competition (I hope)

Hi guys. Just wanted to start off by saying I would LOVE a newer M3 or M5, but sadly the yearly income of a Firefighter/Paramedic only allows me to indulge my passion for quick foor doors in the form of the Ford Taurus SHO. Granted, BMW's are in a entirely different league (heck, on a different planet), but I have added a few things to help compensate. One of these days.... Anyway, if anyone in the Oklahoma area is out for a weekend drive, and wouldn't consider it below themselves to be seen with a 13 year old Taurus, I would love to tag along. Only ran one M5 before, knowing I would get killed (this was in one of my former SHO's, NA, 14.5 @ 97) but the driver kindly obliged me just so I could see the awesome beast in action (after drooling over his car for like 30 minutes, such a SWEET interior).

So if you happen to see this car driving around, I sure wouldn't mind a little friendly run. While in most every aspect the M5 is a superior machine, a little acceleration contest may prove entertaining. See you around.

My friend drives his dads old SHO around. It used to be his patrol car. Why not look into a lovingly pampered E36 M3 sedan? Thats what I plan on getting in a few years.

nice pics of you SHO. i like the contrasting police grill. is that a turbo under the hood? do you have any other pics?
i drive a cherry red gen 1. not quite an M5, but still fun to drive. i follewed an M5 around for 20 min or so once, but there's nowhere safe to have a little fun here in Vancouver. and i would love to be beat by an M5. it would be such an honour.

Yes, a 60-1 HIFI with a custom IC. Runs pretty good. Have not had the opportunity to run much yet (a few TA's and Vettes), but looking forward to it now that the weather is getting nice. Here are a few more pics, and one of my former NA 95 thrown in for good measure.

question on your front air-dam though: it looks as though the bottom is lower on the sides in this pic than it looks on mine. could it be the colour difference or that it was produced in a different year, or am i imagining things?

The car is a 90, but all GEN I's had identical sheet metal, save for a taillight difference in 91, and some minor color changes on some 91's, as well some chrome trim. This car is lowered a bit though.
