Places to stay in Key West..............

Hey Gang:

My wife and I are going to Key West May 24-29. We have never been there. Any suggestions on good BnB's and things to do?

Thanks!

Tim:

I have some knowledge of Key West as my uncle lives right next door in Key Haven. Since I usually stayed at his place in the past I cannot help concering B&Bs, but I will recommend that you and your wife look into some sea water excursions that are offered by some jet ski companies. There is one rental company on the main drag in Key West and another just outside of Key West (I forget the name at the moment). Basically these places offer tours to go out and drive around some basic coral structures and offer a chance to go snorkeling next to a sunken Navy vessel. Although I have never personally done this, I hear there is great deep sea fishing trips out of Key West. There are a lot of bars throughout the city and plently of things to do at night. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

Unfortunately the deep sea fishing is not what it use to be. From what I experienced twice, Key West is over-fished. If fishing is interests you, I would head out to Islamorada. Or take a trip out to the Dry Tortugas
