OT: No Lexus GX470 in Canada?!

The Lexus GX470 had been all but earmarked as my next SUV.

Curiously, I have not yet noticed any in town, with the exception of a visitor from WA.

I wrote Lexus Canada and asked when we can expect the GX...here's their reply!

Dear Mr. (alpywhite):

Thank you for your communication.

Market research was conducted to establish the feasibility of
offering the GX470 in Canada. Unfortunately, the results show that
the Canadian luxury SUV market is limited. For this reason, the
GX470 will not be sold here in Canada.

We are forwarding your inquiry to our Product Planning Department for
their information and future consideration.

We thank you for your interest in Lexus.

Sincerely,

Martin Rompre
