I know of an instance here in Holland, where somebody replicated the nose of a police car, and put it in between the the trees in front of their house. Coming from a distance, you could see the nose with the distinct color scheme, but as the rest was hidden by trees, you would think it was the real deal..
Proved to be pretty effective, but I think such an effect will only last a week.. People that regularly travel the road would know it's fake..
