getting a license in MA

Why does it take so long to get a driving license here in MA? I just got my learners permit today, and tried to schedule a road test.... the automatic telephone system tells me that the earliest date is 3 weeks away! I thought it's supposed to take like a week or something....

Anyone know anyway to get a faster scheduling time?

Wow, you already got the permit eh? I would suggest you drive the M5 since you are used to it and know where the corners are. Just be easy on those brakes and throttle, or else the instructor will sh&% himself .

not a very smart move... now you can (and most likely will) get tickets that will show on your insurance and raise your premiums- if you care about those things that is.

you sould have gotten a mass id - same function sans the driving priviledges...

just imo

One problem you cannot take the road test on a manual car I think, Double check if so I could see the state trooper failing you with your M5. Number one is really loud and it cost more than what he makes in a year, Better of going low key with a rental trust me there are alot of jealous people out there. Anyway good luck and study hard for the test.

well, my car's insurance is registered under my international license.. so I'm hoping that if I ever get pulled over, I'll just show them my MA license... hopefully they won't be cross linked.. :p

but regardless, the reason why I'm getting a MA license is so that I can use it to drive in HK...

by the way, state troopers give the road test??
