          X5 4.6is Stock De-Limited

          ok perhaps this is old new but i was on bmwusa and under the specs for the 4.6 it says. as a std feature.

          Top speed not limited electronically

          i thought this was kinda really weird, is this true? since when? and why only the 4.6?

          I believe all X5's are unlimited......and its top speed is nothing to worry about either at only 150mph (EVO figures) there is no need for the limiter.....

          i always expect more from BMW

          i mean if its tops out at 150, whats the difference between limited @155 or maxing ouat at 150. see my point.

          The 155 limiter is supposed to stop extremely fast cars going above 155 e.g M5

          Why would you ever take a 4.6 to 150? Sports cars are one thing, but an SUV???
