        Exclamation OT: Remote controlled Gaspedal

Ok, I know the rest of europe will hate us (Sweden) for this. (Like every brittish boxing fan does because we enforced helmets on amature boxing, or something like that)

        Summary in English below:
        http://www.nyteknik.se/pub/ipsart.asp?art_id=22375

        SUMMARY:
Using GSM, GPS or another signal system the maximum speed for your current road is decided. Using this data, a device below your gas pedal stiffens when you try to speed. It's not impossible to drive too fast, but it's "hard work".

I say this is crap. It will surprise the driver. Use the money for drivers education instead.

And watch out Europe! The other Scandinavian coutries are said to be interested, and Holland (a test with 6000 vehicles) & Belgium.

Uh, so buying classic cars is what I'll be doing - f this new technology and additional limitations. Let's seem them retrofit all of this electrickery to a '61 Ferrari 250 GT California (ma ma mia!).
